Here at schuh HQ, one of the (many) perks – along with a seemingly never-ending supply of biscuits – is being first to see the new products when they arrive. When the cool schuh Atlas Chelsea boot landed on our desks, there was much oohing and ahhing, as we began building our outfits from the feet up.

The classic Chelsea boot is always in style and here to showcase their own individual take on this chic ankle boot and how they’re wearing it in this difficult transitional season (it’s almost February, and still there’s snow?) We have Lynsey, Megan and Cara proving this versatile little boot can be styled with completely different looks, whatever your style.

First up, we have Lynsey –

Hi Lynsey! So, tell us – what is it you do at schuh HQ?

I’m the Digital Projects Manager.

So what’s your favourite part of your job?

Getting to work with so many different people both within the company and externally, and seeing projects go right from inception, through the planning/development/testing processes right through to going live on the website.

We love the outfit you’ve picked – talk us through why you styled it this way:

Black opaque tights and a black polo neck are warm and cosy for winter, but the hot pink wool skirt adds a warm burst of colour to the outfit. Classic Chelsea boots are the perfect complement to finish the sixties style look.

What is your must-have, can’t-live-without, build-an-outfit-around-it piece this season?

A sixties styled high necked sleeveless black shift dress – the perfect LBD.

Tell us – if you were a shoe, what one would you be and why?

I would probably be something like the schuh Rudy in black, or SHELLYS London Mozza in white & pale blue – practical but stylish pointy flats that can be dressed up or down, work from the office straight to a night out and are perfect for dancing – timeless classics!

Next up, we have Megan and her amazing lipstick–

So what do you do at schuh HQ?

I’m a Trainee Web Content Editor.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

I get to work in a really creative department full of lovely people who are as loud (if not louder) than me.

You look amazing – talk us through why you’ve styled the Atlas this way:

I like pairing basics as a building block to any outfit and then adding a splash of colour through accessories or makeup. These Cheslea-style boots are so versatile so naturally I love the simplicity of them as they go well with a lot of my clothes. I chose to throw on a big tartan scarf and a slick of red lippie to brighten up the dark look.

What is your must-have, can’t-live-without, build-an-outfit-around-it piece this season?

I think as we head into a trans-seasonal period, you still want yourself nice and snug but able to cool down if need be indoors; so I’m going to be super boring here and say a good pair of black skinny jeans. They make your legs look trim whilst protecting them against the wind, go with everything and you can leave the layering to the top half to control any sudden change in temperature.

Last question – if you were a shoe, what one would you be and why?

Hmmm, maybe a no-fuss black ankle boot. People who know me may disagree with the ‘no-fuss’ comparison mind you.

Last, but not least, we have Cara.

So, tell us – what is it you do at schuh HQ?

I’m the Marketing Co-ordinator, so I… co-ordinate the marketing.  I work with the web and digital teams to plan and create content, as well as working on store marketing (for all 108 of them).

What’s your favourite part of your job?

Shoes. Oh, you want more detail? Well, I love my job, this is a true fact. It covers so many different areas and I get up to all sorts. I write about shoes (a lot), I’m involved in art directing the product stories we shoot for emails in our studio here at HQ, and I check out what new product is coming in and select what I think our customers will love. I also work on store marketing strategy, campaign planning, new store openings and lots more.

A classic jumpsuit – so chic! What made you choose this outfit?

I wear a lot of bright colours and shiny things, but sometimes I just like to keep it simple (and try to look chic). This is my go-to jumpsuit, it’s an old favourite and is super comfy. It goes with heels or flats, and as a casual day look, it works perfectly with a low heeled Chelsea like the Atlas boot.

What is your must-have, can’t-live-without, build-an-outfit-around-it piece this season?

This is a tough question. I don’t think I can choose just one. I always start from the shoes up, so I’d say my two (sorry) key pieces will be a simple, midi block heel sandal in white, that I can wear with everything. Then for a more casual vibe, a chunky metallic flatform sandal. Can you tell I am longing for spring.

Finally – if you were a shoe, what one would you be and why?

I adore heels, and try to wear a pair at least twice a week, but jumping around a studio mostly require trainers, which I also love. In this case though, I’d definitely be a patterned, embellished, towering, teetering heel.

Now that you’ve seen how the girls style theirs, show us how you’re wearing your new favourite footwear by mentioning the #schuh on your Instagram or Twitter post. We love some inspiration.
