It’s here! The big collab we’ve all been waiting for: when up-and-coming British designer Ashley Williams met cult shoe brand Red or Dead for a match made in footwear heaven.

After strutting down the catwalk back in September ’14 to accompany Williams’ clothing collection for London Fashion Week, the shoes have finally made their way to schuh – and we couldn’t be more excited.

The capsule collection has taken inspiration from both the east-meets-west culture clash theme from Williams’ own designs and also Red or Dead’s strong visual history. After taking a peep at the definitive Red or Dead ‘90s print, the ‘baby in a space helmet’ on a pair of transparent Dr Martens boots – we can see where the see-through elements of the collection have emerged from:

Cute pig, cute shoes = win

Another influence to the collection has been the mutual love between the brands’ for pop culture, nostalgia and all things kitsch; add a dash of tongue ‘n’ cheek attitude towards the fashion industry and the collection is a perfect fit for both parties.

Williams also wanted to create shoes for ‘girls who live their lives through movies’ and so the collection was suitably dubbed #Making Movies. So, if you’re after a pair of lust-worthy shoes to star in the movie that is your life; get yourself along to our Ashley Williams x Red or Dead page now and get ready for your ankle close-up.
