With every season comes a trend and S/S ’16 belongs to the pool slide. A style divider for sure but these so-called ‘ugly’ shoes really aren’t going anywhere fast. So if you like them, wear them. There’s no judging here. We love a pool slide here at schuh and we’ve got plenty to choose from, so go on, have a gander at what’s on offer.
What comes to mind when you think of Madrid, Spain’s capital and largest city? If you’re anything like I was, you’d be able to name the Birkenstock sandals, Real Madrid football team and probably not a whole lot more. Barcelona seems to get all the hype, with its Gaudi masterpieces, music festivals and huge hordes of tourists. However, flights to Madrid were cheap and the city had been recommended to me by a couple of wise travellers. So off I went with four of my nearest and dearest, on an intrepid trip to Spain’s underrated capital.
From dominating colour palettes back in the summer of ’14, the trend of powdery pastels has held strong against the perils of changing tastes; despite its light and fluffy appearance. Continuing with our pro skater series, where we look a little closer at some of our favourite skateboarders, we thought it was time we talked about Paul Rodriquez AKA P-Rod.
For those of you not familiar with P-Rod, he’s just a child prodigy turned international skateboarding mega star. Oh, and not forgetting a massively successful entrepreneur. Yep, just like that. He calls himself ‘goofy’. Sure P-Rod.

As you read the title of this post I know what you’re thinking – aren’t all shoes made for the outdoors? Well, yes (well with the exception of some special court shoes), but we’re talking really outdoorsy, like get down and dirty types you can wear for getting out into the great outdoors and running/walking/rambling, or whatever it is you do out there.

We uncovered some shocking research about socks this week, and quite frankly, it floored us.
Did you know that every second, a sock is separated from its partner? Or that a family of four will lose up to 60 socks a year?
We’re devastated. So much so, that we decided to take action, to try and make a difference. To educate sock wearers everywhere that socks are not just for Christmas (but they do make good presents).

Let’s talk about the sneakerboot.
You might be thinking, what exactly makes a sneakerboot a sneakerboot? Is it a high top? Or a mid top? Pretty much. Well, as the name suggests, it’s part sneaker, part boot, but there’s a rugged, hiking flavour to most of the season’s styles. We’re really feeling it. Are you with us?
