I think its ok for us all to agree, that this summer has been a bit of a washout at certain points. My own trusty sandals have been relegated to the wardrobe for longer than I can remember, as the British weather lives up to its reputation as being a tad temperamental.

Given our ability to put a positive spin on even the dullest of days, this has meant we’ve been able to make the most of our pre-autumn boots. Stylish summer boots have never looked so good – here we pick 3 of our favourites.

riley hawk tony hawk's son wearing tan skate shoes

If we’d taken bets on whether Tony Hawk’s son was destined for skating greatness, then we’re sure there would have been plenty of takers. As it is, Riley Hawk proved himself as a skating pro specialising in the streets, and has gained legendary status among fans of the sport in his own right. Naturally, we imagine he can have his pick of men’s skate shoes, from one brand to the next, so it’s exciting that he’s now teamed up with Lakai to bring us a range with his name on it.

schuh photobooth at Lovebox

Besides an impromptu set from Chas and Dave in the slam tent, we’ve been to enough festivals to know what you want from a weekend in a muddy (or in this case, dusty) field. When it comes to festival footwear, nothing trumps the original festival wellies – the Hunter Boot. For this, we largely have our old friend Mossy to thank. Kate caused a festival style revolution when she paired hers with a ripped, gold lurex jumper dress at Glastonbury in 2005. The rest is history. The Hunter Boot was crowned the festival IT shoe.

Kim Kardashian West at DisneylandUntil recently, taking style inspiration from the Kardashians is not something we’d have championed; but you have to admit over the last couple of years, they’ve upped their game. Big time. The Yeezy effect has taken hold of the whole family and their sleek, mono signature look just doesn’t get old (Kim’s perspex pregnancy shoe nightmare aside).

bella thorne wearing white juju jellies babe sandals

When it comes to Bella Thorne, there’s a lot to be envious of. From her gorgeous looks, teen celeb status and red-headed locks, life is pretty good for the rising American starlet. When she was pictured at a festival pool party at this year’s Coachella, looking all long-limbed and lovely, we wanted to steal her style (and also her long legs and abs obv).

Taylor Swift in Elie Saab

Last night should have been a battle of the red carpets, with awards season getting fully under way. In London, a host of stars descended on the red carpet for the BAFTAS, one of the film industry’s biggest events. In Los Angeles, the cream of the crop in the music biz attended the Grammys, the biggest night in the music industry calendar.

Sienna Miller Golden Globes

Okay, so it’s a given that many of you will be having a totally boring dry quiet January, and the last thing on your mind or in your social calendar for that matter, is a red carpet event. What, no awards ceremonies coming up?
