We realise at first this may seem a little premature, but it’s not really is it?
We’re all sitting at work/school/uni/on the sofa, wrapped in layers, feeling the cold, sick to death of wearing tights, thick socks, fleece and wool. And still having cold toes.
So today we’re dreaming of a land far away. A happy place where the sun shines, the ice cream is unlimited and we can bare our skin without fear of frostbite. A place we can prance around in the sunshine showing off our pristinely pedicured toes, and tanned feet. It’s lovely here.
Even though we don’t actually live in this happy place, we are on a major countdown to the closest thing to it. British springtime. It officially happens on 29 March but there’s no way we can hold out that long.
We’re straight in there with one of the season’s biggest trends: the ugly/pretty hybrid sandal. Love it or hate it, the chunky straps and Velcro are big news this spring summer. As seen at Marc Jacobs, Preen and Marni, there’s no escaping the orthopedic sandal. She’s a beauty.
Like being first? Check the trend off your list now with the pretty pastel Janko sandal from Shellys London. Guaranteed, once you try them on, you’ll have one of those ‘why did I not try these sooner’ moments, and then never take them off.
SS15 at schuh brings with it a rainbow of Tevas sandals (trust us, you so will) and a host of oh-so-practical flatform styles (yup, these too). Granny meets backpacker vibes are what it’s all about. Just go with it.
