That’s a wrap! Another year, another London Fashion Week comes to a close and what a weekend it was. From A-list celebrities to streetstyle fashionistas bringing their A-game and woo-ing us with their favourite looks, we can’t help but feel inspired to hit style refresh this season. So with that in mind, we’re taking a look at London Fashion Week from the shoes up.
London Fashion Week – an event fit for any fashion king or queen; filled to the brim with elaborate runway shows and a whole lot of serious style envy. Looking at this year’s photos, we could certainly get lost in a world patterns, fabrics and embellishments. But with our obsession with shoes, it’s only right that we check out what’s hot from the shoes up.
Amongst many trends of this year’s LFW, the trainer trend still seems to be booming. The sneaker-with-anything style has continued to be a strong look amongst many bloggers, fashion editors and designers alike. With an array of brands on show, there was one brand in particular that ruled the streets – the brand with the 3-Stripes – adidas. So without further ado, here are some of our favourites styled to perfection.
The adidas Gazelle appears to still be having a moment and we’re OK with that as it’s a firm favourite in our wardrobe’s.
First up, LOOK Magazine’s Content Editor, @maxfasheditor wore the ever-popular adidas Gazelle in all-white leather, (above image) pairing them perfectly with wide leg jeans and fishnet ankle socks – oh hello ‘90s chic. Nice work Maxine.
Also from Red Magazine, Merchandising Executive @sophiehooperx giving adidas a more tailored appeal with her Victorian-esque ruffles.
adidas Stan Smith
The adidas Stan Smith held well among the crowds of fashionistas. The tennis legend would be proud. Trainers really were an absolute fashion essential at LFW as seen with @chloejanejackson of LOOK Magazine. The Fashion Editor got ready for the Topshop Unique show by pairing her adidas Stan Smith Comfort Dots with frayed denims and a bell sleeved blouse for an understated look. Causal Chic done right.
What’s a fashion event without the legendary Converse Chuck Taylor. @emilyjdawes, Senior Fashion Assistant at YOU Magazine makes a quick snapshot on route, pairing her Converse All Star Hi with sports-casual slick and adding a pop of colour with her incredible handbag choice.
We’re already a massive fan of the Vans Old Skool, so we’re loving the @leannebayley‘s ensemble for London Fashion Week. The Content Editor form GLAMOUR UK went for a monochrome aesthetic and we couldn’t love it anymore.
Streetstyle cool was killing it this year and the adidas Tubular was another strong favourite, making its way into some of the cool girls’ wardrobe checklists. @alicesaralovell – Fashion Manager at ELLE UK, opted for the adidas Tubular Shadow Knit whilst having quick flick through the lastest ELLE Magazine.
@jessmessedwards88, Digital Fashion & Lifestyle Editor at Cosmopolitan, couldn’t quite resist a perfect shot of her Tubular Shadow Knit. And with a hectic LFW agenda on the cards, opting for comfort is always a reliable choice.
So, there you have it – once again, it seems like trainers are going nowhere fast and our favourite brand with the 3-Stripes appears to have made it to the top of the chart at London Fashion Week this year.
