London Fashion Week 2016 has drawn to a close. But don’t be too sad, for now we get to do the fun thing after every big event – look at the pictures. And we’re most interested in the streestyle, from the shoes up (naturally).
In summary: it seems since the fashion world adopted the sneakers-with-anything look in full-force a few years back, they’ve been reluctant to let go of the comfy cool aesthetic ever since (and who can really blame them?). With that in mind, everything from skate styles (the Vans Old Skool is having a major moment) to basketball sneakers and tennis plimsolls to retro runners were seen in abundance on the streets of London Fashion Week 2016. Mixed in for good measure were lots of go-to black ankle boots, cut-out sandals, statement heels, metallic pointed shoes, barely-there sandals and masculine flats. But that’s enough chat, as they say, a picture paints a thousand words.
First up we have @arabellagreenhill, Fashion Director at InStyleUK, showing how to style the adidas Gazelle Suede effortlessly.
@chloefashed, Fashion Editor of LOOK Magazine, nails the metallic shoe trend in a pair of schuh Annie low heels.
How adorable does Stylist and Fashion Assistant at YOU Magazine @emilyjdawes look in her Vans Old Skool trainers? Majorly crushing on that YSL shoulder bag too.
Mega babe @immywaterhouse styles her Christopher Kane jumper with a pair of classic Converse All Star Oxford trainers.
@Pol_Knight from Grazia Magazine goes retro in a pair of Nike Rift trainers.
The adidas Gazelle Suede was crazy popular at LFW 2016, as can be seen here again, this time with a pair of floral culottes on Fashion Editor at Stylist Magazine @le_reber
Aside from the Gazelle, the adidas Stan Smith will always be a fave amongst the fash pack, as @rachsarabassett, Fashion Stylist and Writer at the Daily Express proves.
@maxfasheditor, Fashion News Editor at LOOK Magazine, looks anything but freakish in the schuh Le Freak ankle boots.
Yet another fan of the Vans Old Skool profile, @chemsquier, Acting Fashion & Beauty Editor at The Debrief, admires hers from above.
Songstress @izzybizu slays in a lace effect dress and a pair Converse All Star Hi trainers.
Another fan on the adidas Gazelle, @saireysmile, Senior Fashion Editor at Cosmopolitan, pairs hers with a gorgeous mesh and embroidered midi.
And last – but certainly not least – @sophiehooperx from Red Magazine updates the iconic Converse All Star Hi trainers with mesh socks, denim and black leather.
