It’s the 30th of January and that means we have just enough time to squeeze in another New Year New You post – just what you want you wanted to hear. Today we’re offering you fresh styling inspiration for some of 2017’s must-have shoe silhouettes; ladies, it’s time to hit a style refresh.

Got that feeling you’re in a bit of a style rut? Do you have lots of clothes but nothing to wear? Do you feel a bit lost with what’s hot and what’s not? It’s ok. It happens to be the best of us from time to time. But we’re keen believers that by grabbing a few key pieces that are sure to be hot for 2017 and beyond, that you can bring your whole wardrobe up to speed in an instant (give or take, you may be a hoarder who still owns a pair of satin cargo trousers). Without further ado, let’s get started:

The Slip-On Flatform

Continuing on from their popularity back in 2016, flatforms are big news for 2017. The schuh Stellar flats add another layer of cool to the silhouette with a slip-on athleisure influence. Wear with relaxed tailoring such as track pants, tuck in a basic t-shirt and then throw on a leather jacket to add a dash of structure to your overall look.

The adidas EQT

Hyped to be the adidas silhouette of the year, the ‘90s adidas EQT has been brought up to modern speed for 2017. We suggest going all-out sneakerhead and pairing yours with black-on-black-on-black so they’re the real focal point of your outfit; either that or invest in a pair of ultra-versatile ripped, ankle-grazing skinnies. If you’re really feeling the ‘90s vibes, you could also go ahead and pair your adidas EQT Support ADV trainers with a dash of double denim.

The Statement Ankle Boot

How does the saying go again? “Life’s too short to wear boring shoes”? Quit being a wallflower and make 2017 your year to stand out from the crowd. Out of our selection of standout boots, we suggest the Dr Martens Bentley II Heart 8 Eye; as they’ll see you through the remainder of winter with their sturdy AirWair sole units, they’re perfect for summer festivals and they’re also a great general boot for rainy UK weather. Style with a pair of fun printed trousers and a leather jacket for off-duty rock star cool.

The Floral Printed Shoe

Our final look will transport you to spring even when it’s still chill chilly willy outside. The Dr Martens Floral 1461 3 Eye shoes are an update of one of Dr Martens evergreen shoe styles and feature an evergreen vintage floral print for truly long-lasting style. Pair the statement shoes with fishnet ankle socks (side note: invest in a pair of fishnet tights too for optimum layering options – trust us), raw hem ankle-grazing skinnies (also a major must-have for 2017) and a brightly coloured bomber jacket (we feel repetitive here but…yeah buy one of those too) for an outfit that admittedly has a lot going on but still manages to be ultra-chic.
