schuh fuzzy pool slides in baby pink

We talk about the C word a lot these days. Good old comfort. We’re still partial to a heel, but only for those really special (and rare) occasions. Even then you’ll probably see us in a low heeled ankle boot. We’re unashamedly all about walking with ease and being, well, comfy. Gone are the days of struggling in four-inch stilettos.

And it’s not just us. You just need to look at the street style snaps from fashion weeks around the world. Fashion editors everywhere have long embraced the trend too, and it’s perfectly acceptable to sit front row in your trainers. In fact, it’s perfectly acceptable to wear them with everything in your wardrobe.

I know what you’re thinking – this is nothing new. The term normcore (apparently coined by a New York agency in 2013) has itself become normcore and everyone loves a minimal sneaker. We mostly have luxury fashion house Celine’s Creative Director Phoebe Philo to thank for that. She famously took her end-of-show bow in her Stans and the rest is history.

The trend for comfy has taken several turns and right now, is at an all time high. From the mighty athleisure boom to the return of the Birkenstock and then later the Pool Slide – we just can’t get enough.

It’s apt that Clueless recently celebrated its 21st birthday (we can’t believe it either). Every ’90s girls’ style icon Cher loved a fluffy trim. The powder pink schuh Fuzzy slides are the epitome of comfort, and they’re not just for inside the house. Just don’t get caught in the rain.

The rubber-soled revolution continues and it makes us so happy. Trainers with everything is our life motto. Our new thing is mono-blocking, it’s like colour-blocking but with black and white. It makes getting dressed so easy. We paired the new all black leather adidas Gazelle with our wide leg cropped trousers and a white tee – simple and perfect. Get involved with the comfort crew.
