I recently attended an awards show with an old friend. We tried to be Britney and Justin circa 2001 – but nobody got our joke. I think they were laughing at us rather than with us.
Anyway, I didn’t even wear shoes because you couldn’t see them. I need some serious help for what’s hot in 2015 – what do you suggest?
Ahh, award season. There’s a fine-line between a nod to the retro Britney (I mean, red PVC cat suits are still mostly fine, right?) and all out disaster. Firstly – we’d just like to say, what were you thinking? We personally believe that you could almost certainly pull off anything, including a bin-bag. It’s just unfortunate that a bin-bag would be preferable to this double denim disaster.
If you’re keen to stick with this theme however, may we suggest the delightful schuh Bashment. The pale blue single sole sandals are so chic; they could make even this outfit more bearable.
I’m a trainer girl and have started a new job that requires something a bit smarter – should I do a heel or is a smart flat acceptable?
Dear Trainer lover,
Congratulations on the new job! We’re very proud. We totally understand your dilemma – making the transition from trainers to smarter shoes can be a challenge, and doing so on the first day of a big-girl job is never easy. Making a good impression and looking good in an office outfit is nerve-wracking as it is, without worrying that your fave Nike’s just don’t go with a suit. Never fear – we have plenty of solutions for you, with lots of flats or low heels to choose from.
Smart flats are acceptable for almost every profession now; and masculine flats are everywhere, so you can keep comfy and look good with minimal effort. Check out the schuh Keeper or the schuh Chief and see what you think.
Don’t be scared to try a heel though – the schuh Kudos or the Sweet Talk both feature chunky, supportive heels to add some height without sacrificing on support. If you’re still in need of some inspiration then come visit our office shoes page – we have some stuff for the guys here too.
Hope this helps!
Are you having some shoe problems? Never fear – schuh SOS is here to help solve your footwear freak-outs.
(We won’t actually throw them, we’ll just feature you on the blog which is much nicer and much more safe)
