It seems like only yesterday we were getting things kicked off with the June edit of our festival calendar, but it’s already time to take a look at what sonic treats July has in store for you festival lovers. Whether you’re jumping straight from Glasto into the next big month of music, or July is the start of your festival season – we’re here to get excited with you. Join us as we take a rundown of our top 5 picks of events this month and suggestions on what you should be wearing to each one, from the feet up.

New Look Wireless: Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th

Weather predictions: Sunny sun sun and a smidge of cloud.

Get in front row for: Duke Dumont, Drake, Avicii & Nicki Minaj

Footwear: Throw caution to the wind and get prepped to worship the sun in a pair of our Birkenstock Rio Mirror sandals. The holographic trend is a tricky trend to pull-off, but if you let your feet do the talking and pair them with denim Daisy Dukes and a simple tee – you’ll nail it. Even better news? These are in our women’s summer sandals sale.

T in the Park: Friday 10th – Sunday 12th

Weather: A little bit of rain, a little bit of sun, a little bit of cloud– usual Scottish weather then.

Get in front row for: Alt-J, Kasabian, Noel Gallagher’s Nigh Flying Birds & The Prodigy

Footwear: As you can experience every season within a typical day in bonnie Scotland, we suggest planning for the worst eventuality (i.e. lots and lots of mud) in a trusty pair of waterproof wellies. With the Hunter Original Short Fringe, this doesn’t mean scrimping on style (although you can save some pennies as these are part of our women’s boots sale). Strip back your look with a pair of dark skinnies and an oversized khaki military shirt, or match them with a fringe kimono.

Latitude: Thursday 16th – Sunday 19th

Weather: Sunny but also cloudy and potentially…rain 🙁

Get in front row for: SBTRKT, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Honne, Jack Garratt & Lianne La Havas

Footwear: The weather looks promising but getting the schuh Dark Horse ankle boots a little dirty (if it does rain) will just add to your festival look. Take a stroll around the huge festival and in these fringe-detailed beauts, perfect with a short and floaty printed dress and a well-worn leather jacket.

Lovebox: Friday 17th – Saturday 18th

Weather: Sunny but with potential thunderstorms.

Get in front row for: Snoop Dogg, Rudimental, Hot Chip, Cypress Hill & Groove Armada

Footwear: Seeing as the predicted weather is ranging from glorious to stormy, we thought we’d recommend the Dr Martens Tract Combs Fold Down boot. All the AirWair sole sturdiness of their 1460’s but updated with a khaki fabric upper – perfect for summer. These will toughen up a floaty skirt and crop top effortlessly.

Psst – If you’re attending Lovebox make sure to come see us at the schuh Photobooth area. Attendees can get free photos taken, plus a £10 off code that can be used online and in stores. We also have a relaxing chill out seating area and will be participating in random acts of kindness (there’s talk of free wellies – whaat?).

The Secret Garden Party: Thursday 23rd – Sunday 26th

Weather: Sunny with potential thunderstorms.

Get in front row for: Jungle, Ben UFO, Darwin Deez, Joy Orbison & The Cat Empire

Footwear: Here’s another tricky one to prepare for weather-wise. Although seeing as it’s The Secret Garden Party – we say embrace any showers and be at one with the world/sludge. To get into the chilled out and colourful atmosphere, we’re suggesting the Converse All Star Floral Print Oxford plimsoll. If you’re indulging in the events infamous fancy dress code, these will set off your glitter infused, sequin embellished, print adorned look perfectly. The also won’t break the bank, as you’ll find them in our women’s trainers sale.

We hope our suggestions helped you make a choice but would also like to stress we understand that weather forecasts are about as reliable as a chocolate teacup – so that predicted sunny festival may not be so sunny. In which case, we’re sorry if your feet get drowned…at least they’ll be drowned in style? Stay tuned for our future festival round-ups and remember to #schuh and to tag us on Instagram and Twitter if you’re sporting our shoes at your festival! If these picks don’t tickle your fancy, you can also take a browse through all our festival shoes and our entire summer sale.
