It’s true – Shellys London, the queen of 90s footwear, is making a huge comeback and we are tres excited. It’s been a while, but we’re pleased to say, she’s still got it. Re-launching globally with a fresh range of styles, the brand is bringing back their London street style vibe. Whether you were around first time or not, you’re gonna love what you see.

Shellys was born in London in the late 1940s, where it started out life as a small family business, available in a few stores in the city. London’s youth culture was the brand’s key inspiration and their knack for fusing this culture with fashion resulted in them leading the way at the forefront of fashion.

A particular claim to fame of the brand is the introduction of the platform shoe and Chelsea boot to the women of London in the 60s. They also led the way in collabs by partnering with the likes of Dame Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier and Katherine Hamnett back in the day.

Their expert craftsmanship and exciting, innovative design brings with it an eclectically stylish collection for A/W 14. One that is carefully curated to feature a wonderfully tasteful mix of materials, textures, colours and styles.

In particular, we are really feeling the use of zips, velcro and buckles on the first to arrive at schuh.

The Gise ankle boot looks like two shoes in one and reminds us of some of the original Shellys styles we loved. The soft fabric sock and patent upper offer a boot that’s a little different to the rest.

Centre zips are big news for A/W 14 and the Scalone boot is definitely going to steal the headlines. Its midi block heel makes it a great all dayer.
