womens black leather dr martens boot called daria multi eye on schuh blog

With everyone from Marc Jacobs to Rodarte and Burberry to Narciso Rodriguez sending their models down the catwalk awash in a sea of black for their A/W ’16 shows, it’s fair to say the Gothic trend is big news for this season. Do you dare to go to the dark side?

Now, before you recoil in horror at the thought of ditching your pastels and glitter in order to make the descent into darkness – just hear us out, because this trend has a lot of pros. Have you been dreaming of the perfect excuse to wear your fave black clothes head-to-toe all day erryday? This trend is your noir-laden fairy godmother. Lusting after all those ‘90s chokers? Do it. Fancy stocking up on more lace, tulle and velvet than you can shake a stick at? This is your chance. Have a strong urge to wear blood-red jewels and stacked silver rings on every finger? Go ahead.

And once you have everything else sorted, you’ll need a pair of shoes that’ll match every one of your luxe-Goth looks. Which better brand to turn to then, than Dr Martens. A prevalent youth subculture of the early ‘80s, the Goth movement adopted the brand’s now iconic worker boot as a building block of their aesthetical DNA, which in turn inspired many of Dr Martens future key designs, including the extravagant Daria Multi Eye Boot (in lovely gif form above).

So are you ready to dip your toe into the pool of darkness? If not, go ahead and check out the rest of our women’s shoes instead.
