The Kha-key trend, you get it right? Khaki, key trend – it’s major this season. Khaki is the new black and we’re totally in love with it. From army inspired tones and muted military shades to combat-esque chic, this classically neutral colour is a wardrobe staple and most certainly worth having, especially on your feet. So lads and ladies, with help from schuh, go green or go home this season.
Khaki, it really is the new black; there is no doubt about it. It’s the kind of colour that can act as a blank canvas. You can layer it with contrasting neutrals, spice it up with a bold pop of colour or go all out, head-to-toe with all shades of green for a contemporary utilitarian vibe. It just works and we love it. It’s probably one of the easiest colours to wear and makes a good alternative to black. If it’s not in your wardrobe already, you best get shopping.

We’ve seen it on the runways, from designers like Christopher Raeburn sporting a hint of khaki among his AW16 Wintercamp collection and what some like to call a musical genius, Kanye West and his latest fashion collection, YEEZY. Also, all the street style elite of New York (including our girl crush Leandra Medine from Man Repeller) are all casually sporting khaki threads. The muted tones of green are going nowhere fast.

But if it’s a colour you’re not too sure of or you just can’t step away from your all-black everything just yet, then the easiest way to start feeling the khaki vibe, is of course, to start from the bottom up. We’re obviously a bit biased, as starting from the footwear up is our thing.
