**This competition has now ended**
When you’re surrounded by shoes every day of the week, you quickly learn how to lace a Lacoste like lightening, balance a New Balance on your head and pile shoes up to gravity defying heights. This got us thinking – in a summer of sporting events – how many shoe based records can we set? How quickly can we tie a pair of shoes? How tall a shoe tower can we build? And that is exactly what we did.
We enlisted the services of a shoe tower construction veteran who possesses nerves of steel and a steady hand. A few practices and several collapses later, came this attempt.
The schuh stack challenge record has now been set. Fancy taking us on? Simply construct a tower of shoes. The builder of the highest tower will win a stack of shoes to the same height. So if your tower contains 30 pairs of shoes, you will win 30 pairs of shoes from schuh. Each tier must contain only one pair of shoes, and no foreign object can be used to hold the tower up.
