Mindful Miles: schuh x New Balance
schuh is proud to announce the second instalment of schuh x New Balance: Mindful Miles. This spring, the partnership brings accessible mindful movement events to London, Manchester, and Glasgow.
Mindful Miles is a series of social wellness events across the UK, centred around getting out, moving, and feeling good. Through them, we’re spotlighting the connection between movement and well-being. Held with local running communities, each event will include a 5km run and 2km walk with a focus on moving with purpose.

Movement is key to mental and physical wellbeing. According to The Mix, a digital Mental Health service for Under 25s, “A good exercise routine can work wonders for our overall wellbeing. Even just a dance around your living room is enough to exercise your mind as well as your body.” They also emphasise the importance of mindfulness: “Mindfulness can help you to pay attention, and appreciate moments that you might not otherwise remember.”
The benefits of movement are plentiful: it can reduce stress and anxiety, improve mindfulness and concentration, produce feel good hormones, and enhance quality of sleep. Buddying up with a friend or a group can also boost motivation and help create positive connections.

Event Dates
London – with Overtime Running Club – Saturday 26th April, morning
Manchester – with Slow Run Club – Thursday 1st May, evening
Glasgow – with HWJ Run Club – Wednesday 14′th May, evening
Each mindful journey will start and end at a schuh store, featuring a Mindful Miles pop-up re-fueling station and affirmation boards. Each and every participant will receive a free sports t-shirt and a ‘Mindful Miles Essentials’ bag, including a tote bag, water bottle, stickers, and gratitude journal!
