Step By Step: How to Clean UGG Boots

First off – machine washing is a no-go due to the premium materials that you can thank for making your trusty UGGs so cosy. So, here’s what you need to restore your UGGs back to their former glory:

Dry suede brush or eraser

Soft brush

Mild soap or UGG Cleaner & Conditioner

Sponge

Cloth

Paper towels or newspaper

Step One: Brush

Start by using a dry suede brush or eraser to remove any surface dirt from your UGGs. If you’re looking to remove dry stains, a suede brush should do the trick here – but keep reading if your stains are proving more stubborn.

Step Two: Clean

Next, lightly moisten your UGGs with cold water (be sure to cover the full boot to prevent any water spotting!) and apply your UGG Cleaner & Conditioner or mild soap using a damp sponge. Gently scrub before rinsing with a clean sponge or cloth. If the boot’s interior needs a freshen up, wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap.

Step 3: Dry

To dry, blot out any remaining water with a clean cloth, then lightly stuff your UGGs with paper towels or newspaper before letting them air dry away from direct heat or sunlight. This is key to help your UGGs keep their shape while drying (and will also help reduce any odour!). Once they’re completely dry, use a soft brush to gently brush the suede – and voila, your favourite pair is as good as new.

Step 5: Protect

Prevent future damage – and ensure peace of mind – by applying a water and stain repellent spray. We love the UGG Protector spray, made especially to protect your beloved UGGs from whatever life throws at them.

Got a Stubborn Stain?

Stuck with a liquid or oily stain? Desperately wondering how to get grease out of UGGs? Simply sprinkle baking soda on the stain and allow it to sit before brushing off. For anything more stubborn, the UGG Cleaner is your answer – just mix with water and wipe with a damp cloth.

How to Clean UGG Slippers

Wondering how to wash UGG slippers? Whether you’re dealing with stains on your favourite UGG Tazz pair or general wear on your beloved Ascots, don’t stress it: the process is exactly the same. Be sure to take extra care with cleaning the inside of your slippers to ensure they retain their fluffiness: clean any marks as soon as you can, spot clean with a damp sponge, then blot out any excess water and leave to dry naturally.
