Summer mode = fully activated. Last Saturday, schuh teamed up with City Daze to host the summer block party London deserved. We’re talking a stacked line-up of local DJs, unreal Caribbean food, schuh ice lollies, fresh nail art, and a whole lot of good energy.

But this wasn’t just about throwing a party. At the heart of the day was connection – meeting new people, catching up with friends, and creating a space where everyone could feel welcome. Because the best summer memories? They’re made together.

Meet City Daze

Nurtured by founders Rose Eskafi and Zoe Mallett, City Daze is a London-based walking community with a mission to combat loneliness and help people form genuine connections across the city.

Through community walks and events, the club gives Londoners the chance to slow down, practise mindfulness, and meet new people without the pressure that can sometimes come with traditional social spaces – naturally, we’re so here for it.

Of course, no party can get started without the right soundtrack, and our local DJ line-up understood the assignment. And the food? Just as elite. Guests tucked into some Caribbean dishes before cooling down with limited-edition schuh ice lollies, with one lolly coming with a winning stick that landed its lucky holder a schuh gift card. 

The party didn’t stop there. The talented nail artists from Greenhouse Studios joined us to give guests schuh-themed nail art, creating another place to sit back, relax, and add something extra to their ‘fit. Fresh set? Check. New connections? Sorted.

Alongside the music, food, and party energy, we curated a dedicated schuh chill-out space where guests could take a breather, catch up, and make new connections. To get conversations flowing, we created a deck of conversation cards filled with prompts designed to inspire open, meaningful, and honest chats.

The Summer Block Party brought together everything we love: creativity, culture, self-expression, and real community. Because connection can happen anywhere – on a walk, over great food, between DJ sets, or while waiting for your nails to dry.
