When it comes to brand ambassadors, having an internationally renowned supermodel and all-round bombshell is kind-of a big deal. That’s why we imagine UGG must be feeling pretty smug to have siren Rosie Huntington-Whiteley repping them this spring/summer. When we heard the news, we decided there was nothing else for it than to torture ourselves by examining her career so far. Checking out RHW all day? It’s a tough job but hey we thought we were up to the challenge.
DO NOT BE ALARMED – that big bright ball in the sky is the sun. Dare we say it? Summer is coming. Coachella always inspires our future wardrobe choices, and the first weekend of the 2016 festival didn’t disappoint. Get inspired for this summer with the help of this gorgeous lot.
Did Kendrick make Reebok cool again? Nah behave, they’ve never not been cool, what he has done though is bring the Reebok Classic back to the forefront of our minds. Often forgotten about in a sea of adidas, Nike and even New Balance; Reebok reminds us that shoes don’t need all that tech, take it back to basics and there you have a great retro look.
Not all Superheroes wear capes and Sunday 6th March marks the special day where we spoil the best superhero in all our lives; our mum. Mums are magical, they have the power and strength to get you through anything; they make you laugh, they are a shoulder to cry on, they give the greatest of advice and they really are your best friend. There’s no doubt about it – but there’s one other thing we can thank them for; their style. We all know that our mommas really are the fashion queens of the world. They’ve seen it all, they’ve worn it all. They’ve been a part of every trend, fashion faux-pas or not. Mums really be stylin’ so when anyone asks why you so fly – your reply: ‘I got it from my momma’. Read more
If you’ve been living under a rock for the last couple of years, you might have missed Skechers whizzing past you on the rise to becoming one of the most popular footwear brands in the world. Having recently become the second biggest fitness brand in America, the brand are going from strength to strength. I caught up with the ultra-fabulous Kelly Brook, the UK ambassador for their Memory Foam styles, at a recent Meet and Greet in our London Marble Arch store. We chatted about all things fitness, Skechers and how it was filming with handsome men and adorable puppies. Read more
What better way to spend the bank holiday than at the MTV Video Music Awards. If, like us, you were joining in from your couch (we imagine our invite will appear this week, late… typical) or you missed it all together because you were out partying, don’t worry. We’re here to catch you up on the best dressed from the event. As well as everyone discussing *that* shade that Nicky Minaj threw at Miley, it was a night of looks that got people talking.
I think its ok for us all to agree, that this summer has been a bit of a washout at certain points. My own trusty sandals have been relegated to the wardrobe for longer than I can remember, as the British weather lives up to its reputation as being a tad temperamental.
Given our ability to put a positive spin on even the dullest of days, this has meant we’ve been able to make the most of our pre-autumn boots. Stylish summer boots have never looked so good – here we pick 3 of our favourites.
If we’d taken bets on whether Tony Hawk’s son was destined for skating greatness, then we’re sure there would have been plenty of takers. As it is, Riley Hawk proved himself as a skating pro specialising in the streets, and has gained legendary status among fans of the sport in his own right. Naturally, we imagine he can have his pick of men’s skate shoes, from one brand to the next, so it’s exciting that he’s now teamed up with Lakai to bring us a range with his name on it.
Besides an impromptu set from Chas and Dave in the slam tent, we’ve been to enough festivals to know what you want from a weekend in a muddy (or in this case, dusty) field. And to prove it, we turned up to Lovebox with our upside down photobooth and wellies. Needless to say, the offer of free photos and free wellies was enough to get even the cool kids of Hackney queuing round the block.
When it comes to festival footwear, nothing trumps the original festival wellies – the Hunter Boot. For this, we largely have our old friend Mossy to thank. Kate caused a festival style revolution when she paired hers with a ripped, gold lurex jumper dress at Glastonbury in 2005. The rest is history. The Hunter Boot was crowned the festival IT shoe.
