We’re into August already, how crazy is that? We’re not really sure where this year has gone but don’t fret, we still have a full month of musical festivals to look forward to. Yup, it’s time for our schuh UK Festival Calendar – August.
Whilst we gave you some great (if we do say so ourselves) fashion tips on what to wear from the footwear up in our June and July edits, this month we thought we’d get you in the zone with something a little different; a fun video of a festival from a schuh Eye View:
Seeing as the schuh festival wellie really knows how to party, we got him to pass on some recommendations on who to see and what to do for our festival round-up:
Wilderness Festival: Thursday 6th – Sunday 9th August
schuh festival wellie recommends: Björk, Nick Mulvey, Hercules & Love Affair, Ben Howard and Ibibio Sound Machine. There’s also some seriously cool theatre and art performances going on here, scrumptious food and drink, workshops, outdoor activities and so much more; so cultured.
V Festival: Saturday 22nd – Sunday 23rd August
schuh festival wellie recommends: Me and the schuh gang will be in attendance at V, taking snaps of the best-dressed festival goers like we did at Lovebox Festival. I recommend Hozier, Tom Jones, DJ EZ, Calvin Harris & Shift K3Y – I’ll also be in attendance at The Glee Club Comedy Tent to laugh my welly socks off.
Shambala: Thursday 27th – 30th August
schuh festival wellie recommends: Too Many T’s, Yiddish Twist Orchestra, Om Unit, Subculture Sage and Koo Kou’s Nest. This isn’t just a musical festival though – oh no – this event is also full of live cabaret, workshops, stand-up comedy and inspirational talks and debates. There’s also a Kate Bush Ballet Flash Mob taking place, wittily titled ‘Withering Tights’, so you should probably go for that alone.
Creamfields: Friday 28th – Sunday 30th August
schuh festival wellie recommends: The Chemical Brothers, Kölsch, The Martinez Brothers, LEE FOSS and Jackmaster.
Reading and Leeds Festival: Friday 28th – Sunday 30th August
schuh festival wellie recommends: Mumford & Sons, Limp Bizkit, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Gorgon City and Azealia Banks.
